Grats Rod, JG and all of you !
I enjoyed more the banter in the chat, than racing on this boring track. I said that was tired and bla bla , but even being fresh, I couldn't stand this track. Maybe I could hold JG at bay if being fresh, and if I prepared this properly, but yeah, this type of tracks don't light my racing mood at all. See you guys, at the next one.

LOL, couldn't have said it better. I really don't like any of the tracks (sans Barber) Alan Wilson has designed. Too flat, No passing places. All of his squiggles look the same, like overgrown karting tracks. http://www.wilsonmotorsport.com/ Seem like nice people, I just don't care for the designs even if they drew up the course for the WMGP.

Hopefully Oulton Park is not the chicane infested version. I quite enjoy OP.

Grats race winners.

Red Weasel Racing

Race Line: Mid America

The Weasels came with high hopes of being able to do a little better with the challenging Challenger. And with some help we have been able to start to get a handle of the beasty, but we are still a long way off.

The flat open space of the Mid America track offers if nothing else it has great visibility, so you can watch yourself go sliding off from many angles.

The two Sprints were something that we had expected the Volvos would dominate, it just seemed to me that this track and the all wheel grippy-ness of the Volvo would lend it to some great possibilities, but near the halfway mark into the first race, that was painfully not the case for the some of the Volvo drivers, as I not only ran down but passed a pair of them, granted they may have burnt up their tires or blown an engine or whatever it was that caused themselves the issue, it was a great boost to the Weasel Ego to run down a pass a few cars.

In the first sprint Mike and the Head Weasel had a great battle going on door to door with just a little banging about. But the wide rear end of the Weasel Tail was to much for Mike in the first sprint and he was held at bay for a most interesting and fun run.

The Weasel Wench had a few issues but she did her best to keep the car on the track and when she strayed off and into the grass she did her best ballet moves to get pointed in the correct direction and motor off again.

The second heat would again find Mike and the Head Weasel going at it, but this time it would be Mike to hold the Head Weasel at bay, the Weasel’s Challenger was slipping and sliding a bit more than in the first heat, and Mike was able to take advantage of it and gently motor passed the Wild Weasel as he was learning how to drift the heavy White and Yellow monster through the flat turns.

But even with the Red Weasels bringing home the tail end of the campaign, the Weasels are happy to out on the track leaving behind great bellowing clouds of smoke.

Thanks for the racin’ … until next time.

James
