mark hanson, looks like i did clip you coming off the corkscrew.
although my replay doesn't show contact, your car did take a header as i passed.
you commented why i was in that left lane, it is the lane i used every lap, the racegroove you see isn't always the fast line.
again, it was not intentional, i never felt contact, but i do lag sometimes, so... my sincerest apologies to you. :embarrass:

:cuss: :fragged: ... :vette: ... :eeeek: .. :faint: (The incident in smileys) (: :toast:

That was a really fun couple of races. I honestly did zero practice in the GTO let alone any laps at Laguna but I wasn't worried cause I know the track very well. I was off pace in R1 qualy but managed to gain quite a few places and surprised my self coming mid pack in 17th. For me that's ok considering my horrid results last season.
Both races where great, even if I did have a few dumb self induced incidents falling back in the pack. Had great fun battling a lot of you, especially Rod V, Jeff S, and Jim P. These guys always race hard and never do it dirty, great stuiff fellas, if only all sim racers had this etiquette!
Hopefully I can make the race at Rattlesnake Point. It looks like it could produce some good racing.

A couple shots of the battling with Rod Viper, Jeff Sorenson, Jim Pejsa, and co. here.

Fun racing last night. I was my own worst enemy a couple of times! :dunno: Nice pics Cory and it was nice to see you racing against your nemesis. :) That's a nice looking BMW Cory. Some drivers were a little like salsa after the races....spicy hot. :notme:

Glad the track worked out... was a quick fix... feel free to share it, as long as Jan does not mind the "TPTCC" branding title.

I agreed with you !!! I had a lot a fun with Rod V. we both have less paint on our car but no body was left out the track!!! pretty fun hard racing with a lot of respect
but there some other flashing light and pushing on the horn...or just pushing you out of track...but at the end great fun!!!! :drive:

I honked because I was along side you and you still ran me into the dirt up the hill into the corkscrew. The honk is to say, "I'm over here, hold your line." Are your mirrors on? On more than one occasion you seemed oblivious that there was a car next to you.

Sorry Andrew if i was in the way... but my way to see it if I'm behind someone trying to overtake I will study is move and wait for the mistake or find the better spot to overtake...I will never hork someone... Anyway if you are faster you will find the way to overtake if you are patient enough... :drive: but like I said Andrew I had good fun anyway!!! Sorry again next time I will give you the way...but it will be less fun without fight... :dunno:

In our case, that isn't what happened (look at the replay).
I was already in the act of passing, we were wheel to wheel and you decided to use both racing lines. I was already spun twice in that race.

Fast and Patient are two different things. I don't agree that the faster car will find a way to overtake. A faster car can be blocked to oblivion and still not get by. Patience has nothing to do with it.

I just did look at the replay... I don't agree with you... You try to overtake at realy dangerous spot where I wasn't able to see you... before that you hit me 2 time in the back for nothing... that where you should study the other... went you honk me look where it was and really think if it is a good spot to overtake...dont forget in sim racing you have a big dead angle...so went you are behind you need to be carefull because you are the one who try to gain something...but I dont want to have an argument with you on the forum... i come here to race for fun ...I do mistake for sure like everybody....so if you think I deserve the horn then I do...
I want to appologize to rod because I ran out of track and came back on him...sorry mate I didn't see you...

Don't think of this as an argument, think of it as clarification/discussion of my perspective. Arguments involve emotion, if I was emotional there would be more of this :argue: :cuss: :flamed: and :whack:

If you can't see, shouldn't you be more careful when another car is around?

I honked because there was a possibility that you couldn't see me, but you kept moving over. There are two lines into the corkscrew I was on the inner. Had you stuck to the outer we wouldn't need to discuss it.

It's a heavy braking zone, such things are good for passing. It's not like I tried to pass you through the kink (which would surely have resulted in you playing in the sand to the outside). I got a great run through the kink and made the move after. I made my judgement from the previous lap where you broke early into the last turn and it caught me off guard. If I was along side going up the hill, I should have had enough room to clear you under braking into the corkscrew. The only reason it didn't happen then is my momentum was scrubbed when you decided to run me to the curb. I wasn't about to put all 4 in the sand. Both our races would surely have ended right there had I not backed out of it.

The only thing I gain by passing you is to get back to a position where I could gain something. The sooner I disperse with the diversion the sooner we both get back to our own business.
