The Pits Touring Car Championship - the first ever mod created for NASCAR Racing back in 1997, and now we're proud to introduce the latest version of this mod after a three year MIA. We thank Papyrus for helping out with some great new physics to improve the fun, and we're stepping up to the plate with new tools, bodies and interiors. And almost more fun than you can have legally!

Six years has made a big difference, and we're prepared to do even more to bring realistic racing to your PC. But we've also decided to do something new in the sim community...TPTCC is now an Open Source Mod! What does that mean? Well, it means this...we'll provide the backbone, and other editors in the community can get involved as well! Don't like our dash? Create a new one! Want some different sounds? Make some new ones! We'll provide the means and information for people who would like to get involved and build more things for this project, and we'll provide links and downloads for other authors who want to jump in! We'll also list utilities with specific support for TPTCC.

We don't plan to stop there either! We'll be continuing to add to TPTCC ourselves, and put together as much cool stuff as you can stand. We won't go into too much just yet, but you can expect to see some European touring sedans before too much longer...and possibly some Fire-Breathing Monsters from Down Under! Each one will be released as a "package" for TPTCC, with it's own sounds, cars and shapes, and probably even a track or two. All the tracks will have standardized text files, so you'll always know what it will drive like.
